So it was just great that on this memorable day I had promised my niece Tharishini who lives in London that I would spend the day with her. David and Simon sent me to the Reading Station and I boarded a train that headed for London Waterloo Station. It was a 1 hour 20 min journey and it was such a pleasant one...passing by English towns of Staines and Richmond...and at some point even the Thames River. On reaching Waterloo I could see Westminster Abbey and The Eye of London and I was excited that I was going into the city. I was greeted by my lovely niece who was in tears seeing me..and it was the best feeling ever to see a loved one in London especially on this day. I reminded her of Dheepak and she said that she always feels him and her late dad are around us all the time. It was heartwarming indeed.
So we took the Underground tube to Marble Arch and this also triggered my memory because in 1995 when I visited London with John Anne and Siobhan...I had to sit with Siobhan who was then 8 years old at Mc Donalds across the Arch so that her mum could go shopping...and it was such good memories. So we walked along and went into the ever crowded Primark...later Marks and Spencers for lunch at their cafe...H & M...Debenhams....Selfridges....and a few souvenier stalls along the way. It was great because we both love shopping and we chatted and chose stuff for each other...it was real fun.
At about 6pm after a quick drink at Pauls I had to leave on the 6.20 train and it was sad leaving her but I assured her I will be back on the 26th to meet her again. I am so glad that I got to spend this special day with my darling niece Tharishini as it is always great to be with family to reminisce about a loved one who has left us...Dheepak this day in London City s dedicated to your memory.
